How to manually run a Sprite sprinkler circuit for testing?

Hi Mike,


To test the sprinkler, you can use the instant manual run feature on the Home page to turn on and off the zones instantly. The blue play button is for instant manual run for your zones.

You can also use the “Test run” feature on the login page. In this way you do not need to have a home Wi-Fi or create a Netro account. Your phone is directly connected to the Wi-Fi network hosted by the Sprite. This mode allows you to turn on and off the zones without involving the Netro cloud server.

Pixie shows "communicating" and timer counting down but valve not open?

Dear customer,

Currently Netro syncs every 1 hour. In the default mode, Pixie will go to sleep mode to save power after 5 minutes when it is manually powered on. Every hour it will wake up to check the latest watering schedules and report the power percentage. Therefore, when you start a manual run, the timer is most likely in sleep mode and it shows pending.

If you have to water instantly, you can go to Settings -> Timer-> "Keep Online" and enable the feature. Note the timer may start to keep online the next day and battery consumption will be faster when the timer is in this mode. Good evening It but impossible to connect me netro tells me to make sure that the correct WIFI password is entered ... I have been trying to appear for 4 hours

Hi Netro Support, I do have the same problem. I rebooted my Router, it doesn't work. When setting up the Netro controller one go through the steps. After entering the pwd for the WiFi system states the connection is unsuccessful. Please make sure.... Yes, I am sure and tried it endless times. I also went through the help. Nothing extraordinary with my Router. In contrary it is state of the art and I do not have any problems with other applications or devices connecting to the router.

When I am in the iPad App or through web browser the status is "Online" but no manual or program switches the valves on - so the status is not correct.

Please advice as I urgently need the controller, many thanks.

Hi Ramón,

Coudl you please check the WiFi signal strength. If you use a WiFi extender, please make sure it is connected to the main router stably.

Hi Simon, 


For the smart watering ,we checked for your zone "Raised Bed" and you selected dripper/emitter for your zones, this is why the zones have longer watering duration than other zones as dripping/emitter system is really slow in moving watering to the ground. 


EPA standard encourage longer water time and less water frequency, which will help growth of the roots. It will also break long water time to several small slots to prevent water runoff. If you think the smart schedules water too much , you can change to different smart zone mode (ECO). 


When Sprite finishes running a watering schedule, it will send a confirmation to the cloud server. In this way, the could server knows whether the schedules are correctly executed or not. The exclamation mark means the cloud server did not receive the confirmation from the device. There are two possible causes: 


1. the device is not powered up when it was supposed to be powered up to run that schedule. Therefore, the corresponding zone is not watered (what is why we use the exclamation to alert users) 


2. the schedule run fine but it was during a temporary network outage or exception so that the confirmation cannot be delivered to the server. Wireless connection can be unstable for a short peroid time so it is not uncommon to have a glitch in the communication. 


If the schedules afterwards are all correctly run, it could just be a temporary network issues. But if that happens a lot please check the WiFi signal strength.


If you use a WiFi extender, please make sure it is connected to the main router stably. 


Netro will send notification when the system is offline more than 24 hours. But you need to enable Netro App notification in your smart phone settings.

I noticed the exclamation mark on your schedules which means the cloud server did not receive the confirmation from the device. Could you please do a manual run test, see if there is water come out when your manual run start to water.

Smart schedule, cutting times in half?

Netro algorithm encourages longer water time and less water frequency, which will help growth of the roots. It will also break long water time to several small slots to prevent water runoff.


Some zones are watered multiple times a day, you probably selected clay, clay loam or loam as the soil type which accepts water slowly, often as little as 1/4 inch per hour and that is why we break the watering into many pieces to avoid water runoff.
