Rescheduling the watering schedule

Dear customer,


You can adjust smart watering through Settings->zones->specific zone number->smart zone-enabled->Mode. You can choose "customized" mode to adjust watering by providing the preferred moisture level and flow rate of your sprinklers. (you will see the estimated water time after adjusting the percentage)


If you do not want smart zone schedule to override your own programmed schedule, you can set up the Smart Zone level from Advanced to Basic, which only skip rainning days for your programmed schedule.

Dear Rosario,

If you enable the smart zone feature and set Smart watering Level as "advanced",  your zones will be watered automatically by Netro with smart schedules. Netro will not water your zones automatically if your smart zone feature is disabled. Please go to Settings->Zones->Smart Zone to check.

If you turn on the smart zone feature, Netro will skip the schedules(including manual schedules from user programs) when there is a chance of significant rain.

Smart watering schedule is running for long periods

Netro's algorithm encourages longer water time and less water frequency, which will help growth of the roots. If you think the smart schedules water too much, you can also set up your own programs and set up your smart zone in basic level. It Rain and still watering my garden

Dear Fernando, 


If you turn on the smart zone feature, Netro will skip the schedules(including manual schedules from user programs) when there is a chance of significant rain(>0.2inch).

Netro gets weather forecast data from our weather provider, which could be not accurate enough, as weather forecasting is challenging.

You can check the weather data on the home tab. If it is not correct, you can select other weather provider in settings->weather provider, you can also select the weather station ID with the Wunderground option. 


You can also customize the weather restrictions now. In the new release (version 1.5.1),  this is in setting -> preferences -> rain. By default, Netro skip schedules today and tomorrow if today rains more than 0.2 inch. You can customize it, like I want to skip the schedules on the day after tomorrow as well, or I want to skip if rain more than 0.5 inch.

Not watering

Dear customer,

Please check the wires. Are they loose or disconnected from the slots? Please also check the common wires and the master valve if you have one. If you believe the wires are correctly installed, please check if there is a main valve/faucet that is turned off manually. 

To test if the controller is working properly, use a multimeter (AC voltage mode) to test the voltage between the common wire and the zone wire when the zone is active. Normally the voltage should be between 24V and 28V.

You might also want to check whether there are shorted zones or open zones. You just need to use a multimeter to measure the resistance between the common wire and each zone (remove the wires from the slots before testing the resistance). The normal reading would be 20-60 Ohms. If the reading is less than 10 Ohms then you might have a shorted circuit in the solenoid and if it is larger than 80 Ohms you might have an open circuit.

Mulch impact on duration

We recommend you to choose boost mode to increase the watering amount as Netro did not know the soil contains mulch. You can also choose "customized" mode to adjust watering by providing the preferred moisture level and flow rate of your sprinklers. 

Please go settings->zones->specific zone number->smart zone-enabled->Mode.

Different symbols in the app

Hi Leon,


The yellow triangle only means after the unit execute the schedule, when it send signal to the cloud, the cloud did not receive the signal, which may be caused by internet glitch. As long as your unit is online and your sprinklers run , you do not need to worry about that. 


The unit download schedules everyday on the local, when it execute the schedules, it do not need internet. Only after the execution of a schedule, it will send signal to the cloud to let the cloud know if has finished the schedules.

Cannot reset Sprite

Dear customer,


Please follow the steps to see if it works:


1.Power off the device(unplug the power adapter)
2.Wait for 2 seconds, replug the power back in
3.Wait for 3 minutes for the device to start up
4.Press the reset button for less than 1 seconds to do a soft reset (use a pin insert to the RST hole button, when you feel a "click" release the button)
5.Wait for 5 seconds. This should set the light to slow blinking.

Please first let the shared user download the app and use his own email register an account with Netro. Then you can add his/her email as a shared user in your account. Please go settings->controller->manage users->add manager.

Custome schedule being ignored

Could you please disable/reset self learning feature to see if it works?Netro smart schedules are based on the overall moisture. The home page shows the overall moisture, while the plot shows the sensor moisture. The sensor moisture is high while the overall moisture level is low.

How many rain sensors?
