ALGORITHM FLOW RATE

Javier NM
Updated at 2023-07-20 07:08:54 UTC

Looking in the Personalized watering mode of Smart watering, I would ask what is the default water flow rate that Netro app uses to calculate watering. I did some tests and guess that it might be around 38 mm/h. Is that right? Having a domestic flow different could distort the data used by the algorithm and might recommend to use personalized settings instead of the default settings. Thank you.

Weather underground

Is there a way to combine the weather underground rain data with the netro forcast as well as the temp? I have found that netro forcast/ temp tend to be very good but the moisture from rain tends to be off quite a bit,  I have a wheather underground station mere blocks away, but the forecast stinks.

Not enough watering

Manuel Herbst
Updated at 2023-07-03 20:19:28 UTC

Hey everybody,

My actual device hunter x-core 6 is watering the plant area (150m2) every day for 30 minutes on a sunny day having 22 degrees. The hunter makes a plus/minus adjustment of the weather differs from the "usual day".

Now I bought Netro sprite because it has WiFi and a nice app. But I can't find a way to have a similar setup. (Around 30 minutes daily watering with weather adjustment by weather app) . I tried to change all parameters but I didn't get even close. (Every 1.6 days around 12 minutes, see attached screenshot.)

Can anybody help me?

Best regards

Manuel

Very low humidity given by my sensor but no watering planned

Christophe Benoit
Updated at 2023-06-27 08:48:51 UTC

Hello,

My basic issue is the one given by the title of my question but behind there is a more simple question:

1. My zone is given as 99% humidity by GET /npa/v1/moistures.json

2 This zone is linked to a Whisperer Sensor indicating a humidity level of 36% (very low)

3 The next valid schedule is within 2 days. It seems very late for an advanced/new plant mode configuration and sunny conditions in the next few days

What is the value of humidity (99% or 36%) Netro is relying on to calculate the next watering schedule ?

Further more, if I set 36% using POST /npa/v1/set_moisture.json, the next watering is in 11 hours, what inspires me more confidence

Thank you in advance for your explanations, I am a little lost

Automatic shutdown when it's raining

Updated at 2023-06-26 12:06:15 UTC

I want to be able to turn off regularly scheduled watering automatically when:

  1.  it's raining or
  2.  it is expected to rain based on the weather forecast.
The automatic shutoff watering could be done by an App or a gadget connected to the Netro mechanism. Appreciate letting me know how I could do this?

Hi,

I set the working time gap between 4 to 8 Am, cause after that i will have the robot mowing.

Most of the time the Smart schedule respects those limits, but in some days The schedule keeps watering till 10am, and restarts at 6pm.

Is there any setting I'm missing?

Scheduling ( Two Smart watering levels; Smart disabled)

Netro Support
Updated at 2023-06-09 06:07:25 UTC

There are 2 different levels of Netro’s smart watering you can choose (For Netro watering controller, please go to Settings->Zones->Smart Zone; for Netro Pixie timer, please go to Settings->Garden->Smart Zone)

 1. Smart watering: Level advanced

This is the default setting of Netro watering controller's smart watering. In this level, your zones will be watered automatically by Netro with smart schedules.

Netro will do everything for you, you do not need to set up the program/schedule.

Netro will skip smart watering and programs when there is large amount of rain(>0.2inch/ 5.08 mm) or watering regulations and manual restrictions.

You can inspect the Smart schedules in the calendar view. They are with the blue water-drop icons.

2.Smart watering: Level basic

This is the default setting of Netro Pixie timer's smart watering. In this level, no smart schedule will be generated. You will need to add programs manually (go to Settings->Programs to add programs) and Netro will skip programs when there is large amount of rain(>0.2inch/ 5.08 mm) or watering regulations.

If you do not want smart zone schedule to override your own programmed schedule, you can set up the Smart Zone level from Advanced to Basic, which only skip rainning days for your programmed schedule.

Please note when smart zone is enabled, your local regulations will automatic override your own program if there is any conflict. So when you set up your own program watering time, please do not conflict with your local Regulations if there is any. To check up regulations, please go to Settings->Regulations.

3.Smart-zone feature disabled

If you want to create your own programs and turn off smart zone feature and rain delay feature, go to Settings->Zones->Smart Zone (Settings->Garden->Smart Zone for Pixie Timer) and toggle the enable button. When the smart zone is disabled, the system will strictly follow the user program to water the zones. There is no intelligence here. Netro will not skip your schedules when there is rain. Regulation feature will not be in effect as well.

Custom sprinkler flow rate

Jure
Updated at 2023-06-01 14:42:27 UTC

Hi!

I have sprinklers with 6l/min specification. in the custom sprinkler settings there is a drop down list with flow ratea 10-100 mm/h.

If I make a calculation 6l/min x 60 min = 360 l/h = 360 mm/h? And that's only for single sprinkler. If I add up all the sprinklers in the zone it's even more. Is flow rate unit not specified correctly or am I doing something wrong?

It would be great if there was flow rate specified when selecting sprinkler type for zones .

Thanks!

Rotor head

Sjors Janssen
Updated at 2023-05-25 19:15:07 UTC

Hello,

I've just been using a Netro Spark to water my garden. I have set up 3 zones. Two of these zones have a rotor head sprinkler. However, they don't cover the same area. One of them rotates over 90 degrees. The other rotates 180 degrees. So I think the rotor head that covers the 180 degrees needs to run double the time of the 90 degree one. How can I set this? I've set the sqm for each head, but smart irrigation used the same times for both.

Kind regards,

Sjors

Update the irrigation routine according to the updated weather forecast

Luis T
Updated at 2023-05-24 15:44:31 UTC

Hi there!

I live in Madrid, Spain and use AccuWeather as my weather provider, since NetroWeather does not provide a correct forecast for this area for some reason.

This week we have had heavy rain forecast so Netro will not activate the irrigation system for several days. The problem is that as the day goes by the forecast is changing and Netro's planning is not updated.

It has already been several days in which according to the initial forecast, it was supposed to rain and it did not, so I have had to launch manual irrigations.

Is there any way to force the smart irrigation program to update according to the new weather forecast?

Thanks!

I want to economize my watering what humidity range I've to set?
