Whisperer Product Enhancement?

It seems like, from my communications with the support team, that the soil moisture indicated by Netro does not factor into sprinkling times other than understanding how sprinkling time changes soil moisture (essentially guesses soil type). I have had to very expensive weather stations, and both failed to accurately report rainfall in as little as three months. With religious cleaning of them (ladder climbing-dangerous) neither accurately reported rainfall for more than six months. My first station Accurite 5-1) was replaced at three months and I gave up and bought an Ambient Weather WS2902-C, which lasted less than a year. So….

Why not have the Whisperers determine actual rainfall- or better yet- make your next product the only digital rain gauge on the planet that actually works? Or, perhaps gen 3 of the Whisperer can have a rain gauge built in. When you get multiple Whisperers  per zone, working in the software, the soil moisture readings alone could make reported rainfall irrelevant.

Thanks,

Kirk

P.S. The support team HAS to stop using the term “soil humidity”. It makes them seem like they don’t know the difference between a fluid (water= moisture) and a gas (vapor=humidity). The Whisperer cannot calculate evaporative likelihood and doesn’t know the air pressure above the soil, so it can only measure moisture, which would, to some extent, measure the influence of water vapor on the moisture, depending on how it was being measured.
