Connecting problem with android

Exact same problem. Every time I switch back to the Netro app from Wifi, the app appears to restart and insist that I connect to my home network to login. Over and over.

Dear customer, 


Before you start, make sure: 

I. You have downloaded the Google Home app 

II. You have linked your Google Home with your Google account 

III. For iOS devices, download the Google Assistant app as well as the Google Home app. 


Then you could add the Netro controller in the Google Home App: 

1. In the Google Home App, click the "+" in the upper left 

2. Select "Set up device" 

3. Select "Works with Google"

 4. Search "Netro" 

5. Login with your Netro account 

6. Choose your Netro device to add. Repeat if you have multiple devices. Please find the instruction here: https://www.netrohome.com/en/shop/user_guides/3

Pixie and Whisperer

Hi Nick,


Please find the below steps to connect your sensor to the pixie timer:

1. in the app, switch to the Pixie timer
2. press the + button on the right upper corner
3. choose sensor
4. follow the steps. Do not choose the standalone mode but the first one "garden"

Hi Bruce,


Netro also has "new plant" mode and please go settings->zones->specific zone number->smart zone-enabled->Mode.  You can check if this mode meet your watering needs. You can also choose "customized" mode to adjust watering by providing the preferred moisture level and flow rate of your sprinklers. 


Also, you can create programs to make sure Netro water your zone for 15 minutes multiple times.

Netro and Home Assistant

Although that I'm still hoping Netro will start understanding their appliance/app is only a smart part of a smart home ecosystem and start integrating with Home Assistant. Even huge vendors like Tuya, have understood that this is essential for most Home Automation Enthusiast. 

For the time being, some folks have used the API to get some data to home assistant https://community.home-assistant.io/t/netro-integration/51012/13


I believe a lot of us are happy with the appliance, but aren't looking at it often enough. Result in my case at least that my whisperer was out for more than a month. This could have been avoided if we had an integration to Home Assistant who would have alerted me.

So please Netro, do the extra mile !

How to stop watering all zones after rain?

Sensor doesn’t work correctly

In the weekly chart the temperature is different, this could be the reason that it shows the average temperature in a day in the weekly chart.

Program Not Running

 For the 1 minute instant manual run, the system remembers the last duration of the instant manual run and displays that on the home page. The watering time for the program remains unchanged. You can go to settings->programs to verify.

Smart Controller Not Very Smart

Are you using the latest beta version? The beta version is using the UTC time so it has the time display error. This error will be fixed in the next release of the app. The actual watering date is 09/08, which is correct.

Moisture sensors not working

Could you please check the soil around the sensor if it's tight enough? If there is large gap between soil and sensor, the air could cause noise.

Doubts about installation and required devices

Dear Juan, 


Spark-8 supports upto 8 zones (similar Spark-16 supports 16 zones). For each zone, you can customized the sprinkler type, soil type, plant type, etc.  For your case, you have 6 zones, with 3 or more sprinkler heads in each zone. So Spark-8 should be enough. 


The whisperer sensor is optimal. It helps to get your soil moisture data more accurate than estimation. However, without the sensor, the Spark can work as well. It's recommended to place one sensor in each zone, however, you can share the data to upto 3 zones if these zones have similar settings (plant, soil, sprinkler, etc.). 



Anyway to set multiple run times for same program?

Manual watering reset after app restart

Hi Szabi,


The system remembers the last duration of the instant manual run and displays that on the home page. So the 5 min watering will not be saved after restarting the app. 


We will soon release the new version of the app and in this new version, the default watering duration is 00:00.

Per agire in manuale ci ho messo 10 minuti X capirete dove l’avevano messo!!!

È molto meno intuitiva, poi che mi facciano vedere la foto delle piante non importa!!! Manco posso mettere le mie!!

 Could you please place the sensor under the sunlight for 2-3 days to charge it up? If the weather not good, it may take longer time. Also, Do you have an incandescent lamp at home? If so, you can try to put the sensor under the incandescent lamp for 24-48 hours and it may come back to work.

Hola les cuento mi experiencia con Netro, trabajo actualmente en el estado de Nueva York, y tengo 500 plantas de bluebery en Chile souh America, y lo controlo desde acá, he tenido excelentes resultados con el sensor de humedad, me hubiese gustado que el sensor fuera más largo, pero con el actual se ha manejado perfecto, también creo que deberían diseñar una caja más robusta para exteriores, estoy muy feliz con la aplicación con el equipo y el sensor.
