Unified controllers

Hi Gianluca,

Currently, the controllers are independent from each other.  Multiple controllers are not aware of each other now.

For users who have more than 12 zones, we are thinking about recognizing additional controllers as extensions, not as different units. When adding a second controller, it becomes zones 13-24, the third would be 25-36, etc. In this way, there will be no overlapping of watering times and users can see one schedule for the day and do not need to switch between controllers.

If you want to stagger your watering:
I think one possible workaround it to add restrictions, for example, you can tell one controller to only water on even days and the other one to water on odd days. Or one controller to only water before 7am and the other one only water after 7am.

If you have any further concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Hi Kirk,

We understand how important these are for an optimal user experience, especially with the charts. Currently, our development team is focused on critical maintenance and high-priority updates for the app, which means we don't have a firm timeline for implementing dark mode or font size adjustments in the near future.

I've made a note to share your specific needs with our R&D team.

Thanks,

Dear customer,

Could you please try the following methods:

1.Create a guest network that only operates on 2.4G, and attempt to connect the Netro controller to this guest network.
2.Ensure that the router is not blocking the Netro device, and that it does not block port 1883 reserved for MQTT. You can also try lowering the security settings on the router/firewall.
3.Sometimes restarting the modem can also help.
If you have any further concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Time range not respected

Actualizado 2025-06-20 02:53:16 UTC

Dear customer,

If you create a program or restriction, Netro will strictly follow the watering time and duration, however, preferences will not. Netro will try to water during your preferred time. However, if Netro believes your watering is not enough, it will still water your zones regardless of you preferred watering time. We suggest you adding a restriction.

Plant needs

Actualizado 2025-06-19 03:20:04 UTC

Dear Bob,

Different plants require distinct watering strategies. For zones with shrubs or trees—whose roots are typically longer than grass and absorb water from deeper soil layers—the soil moisture takes longer to deplete. Correspondingly, replenishing this moisture via sprinklers also demands extended operation time.

We recommend enabling smart zone feature and  navigate to the Zone Page, input the specific plant type and soil type, then observe whether the Smart Watering schedule suits your plants over one week. If watering proves insufficient, you can create a custom program; if excessive, adjust the mode within Smart Zone settings.

Dear Lorenzo,

Regarding the Z1 Pixie, the HUB is indeed a necessary component for enabling its smart control functions, as it serves as the communication bridge for device connectivity.
The hub can be connected via Wi-Fi in addition to a LAN cable.

Continuous Monitoring?

Actualizado 2025-06-11 02:47:52 UTC

Dear Eric,

When you activate Continuous Monitoring, humidity changes will be reported in real time, and the updated humidity information will be displayed on the homepage zone. However, the circular chart on the detail page will not update in real time—it only shows the first measurement data obtained within the current hour. This might be why you thought there was no change. Please check the humidity value on the homepage zone for the most recent updates. Let us know if you need further clarification!

Contrôler problem

Actualizado 2025-06-09 02:21:16 UTC

Dear customer,

Please check the wires. Are they loose or disconnected from the slots? Please also check the common wires and the master valve if you have one. If you believe the wires are correctly installed,  please check if there is a main valve/faucet that is turned off manually.

To test if the controller is working properly, use a multimeter (AC voltage mode) to test the voltage between the common wire and the zone wire when the zone is active. Normally the voltage should be between 24V and 28V.

You might also want to check whether there are shorted zones or open zones. You just need to use a multimeter to measure the resistance between the common wire and each zone (remove the wires from the slots before testing the resistance). The normal reading would be 20-60 Ohms. If the reading is less than 10 Ohms then you might have a shorted circuit in the solenoid and if it is larger than 80 Ohms you might have an open circuit.

Actualizado 2025-06-05 02:22:42 UTC

Dear Stefano,

We understand the challenge you're facing with connecting both Pixie devices to Alexa. At present, Alexa's device name recognition may have limitations, which can make it difficult to accurately distinguish and control multiple devices. As a result, our current compatibility primarily supports the first device added.

Please let us know if you need further assistance.

Thanks,
