Hi Vic,


Currently the controllers are independent from each other.  Multiple controllers are not aware of each other now.


For users who have more than 12 zones, we are thinking about recognizing additional controllers as extensions, not as different units. When adding a second controller, it becomes zones 13-24, the third would be 25-36, etc. In this way, there will be no overlapping of watering times and users can see one schedule for the day and do not need to switch between controllers.

I think one possible workaround it to add restrictions, for example, you can tell one controller to only water on even days and the other one to water on odd days. Or one controller to only water before 7am and the other one only water after 7am.

Sunlights graph for the current day is always wrong

The sunlight data is the average data of a day and we update the data daily. Our sever side gets and updates weather information every early morning at 4 am so you will notice the data is adjusted the next day.

Netro's algorithm is based on expert gardening knowledge, one of which is to avoid watering equally everyday and instead to water less frequently but deeply. Netro waters your garden only when the soil is dry enough in order to draw more oxygen into the roots, leading to a lusher landscape. Netro watered your zone based on moisture level. By default, we allow the moisture level to deplete to a low level (recommended by EPA) before next watering. If the frequent mode does not meet your needs, we recommend you try the customized mode to set the soil moisture threshold. For example, you can set low as 90%, high as 100%, flow rate 0.5 and in this mode the estimated frequency is every 1 day.


You can still use the rain delay feature if you set your own programs.  You can set up the Smart Zone level from Advanced to Basic( Settings->Zones->Smart Zone), which only skip rainning days for your programmed schedule.

The zone area should be the total of 7 planters, if you use the same Pixie to control all of them. If your planter is square, the area should be (41/12)*(12/12) = 3.4 square feet, the total is 24 square feet. The zone area is used for estimating how many gallons of water you have used. It will not affect the watering schedules. So an estimated number is good enough usually.

Your whisperer report sensor data to our cloud server, which will adjust your watering schedules automatically.

60 minutes maximum, problem

Sorry the maximum watering duration for program is 60mins. As a workaround, you can set up multiple programs. But please make sure there is no double time. I will forward your suggestion to our R&D and we will discuss about it.

Thanks for contacting us. We just checked your schedule and most of your zones(grass type) is once or twice a week for about 40 minutes. For shrubs, the watering is about once a month. This is because shrubs or trees which typically have longer roots than grass will absorb water from deeper soil so it takes more days for the moisture level to drop. To refill the mositure level up, it takes longer time running the sprinklers too. 


To adjust smart watering, please go to settings->zones->select a zone->smart zone and choose your preferred watering mode. We recommend you to choose boost mode to increase the watering amount.  You can choose "customized" mode to adjust watering by providing the preferred moisture level and flow rate of your sprinklers.

Smart zone when temperature change

Dear Junglim,

Netro automatically creates dynamic watering schedules according to local weather, so if you turn on the smart zone feature for your zone, season adjustment will be made with smart watering schedules, for example when the temperature is low it will automatically cancel all the watering activities. When temperature is over 90 degrees, the evaporation is higher so Netro will water more.

Whisperer plus basic smart watering

It does not matter if you set basic level or advanced level. If you set a value moisture to skip watering, Netro will skip watering when the sensor moisture on the Home page reaches the threshold which is similar the rain delay feature.

Can i wire two zones together

If you do not have master valve, you may try put two zone wires in one slots. Please note that each valve open needs to consume about 300 am, and the Netro power adapter is 800 Am. If you have master valve, run two zones together (add the master valve) will over the limit.
