Hi Dan,

If you want to move the stand alone sensors to a zone, first you have to go to Settings->Sensors->Edit(upper right corner) and then delete the sensor. Next you will have to go to the home page. There is a drop down menu and please select your Sprite controller, then go to Add a Product-> Plant sensor and then select the zone and complete the following procedures to add the sensor. You will need to press the button 6 times on the back of the sensor to change its mode to Setup mode (light blinking slowly).

Manual scheduled run did not run

Actualizado 2019-06-25 02:58:21 UTC

Hi Yanke,

If you turn on the smart zone feature, Netro will skip the schedules(including manual schedules from user programs) when there is a chance of significant rain(>0.2inch). Your one time run schedule was skipped by rain restriction. You can check it in the schedule page.

If you want to run your one-time run schedule, pleases use the "run a cycle now" feature. Please go to Settings->Programs, choose your one time run, scroll down and tap "run a cycle now" and Netro will start watering instantly.

Hi Ken,

Please go to Settings->Restrictions to add a restriction if you want to skip watering, you can select zones, months to restrict watering. However, currently Netro does not support create restrictions for a specific day in advance. I will forward your request to our R&D and will consider support this feature in the future release of the app.

Actualizado 2019-06-24 06:02:51 UTC

Dear customer,

We just checked your account and we find time regulation in your area: No watering between 6 am and 5 pm. So Netro will only water your zones before 6 am or after 5 pm. Please let us know if the water regulation is correct.

watering usage doesn't match

Actualizado 2019-06-24 05:35:36 UTC

Hi Sangjin,

The water usage is estimated by Netro, not accurate value which is impossible without a flow meter. Here is how we estimate the usage:
1. Calculate the watering time T, which is accurate.
2. Based on your sprinkler type, Netro estimated the flow rate R, which is pretty accurate. E.g. around 1.5inch/hour for Spray Head.
3. Get the zone area from your setting: A.
4. Estimate the water usage as T*R*A.

As we can see, the most error could be from the zone area. By default, we use 1000 square feet, but your zone could be way more smaller of larger. So the usages could also be much smaller or large than the real value. To get a more accurate water usages, please update the zone area with accurate value in settings->zones->Area in sqft.

If you think watering is too much, you can adjust smart watering. Please go to settings->zones->select a zone->smart zone and choose your preferred watering mode. You can choose "Eco" mode to reduce watering. You can also choose "customized" mode to adjust watering by providing the preferred moisture level and flow rate of your sprinklers.

Yours,
Netro Support

Start / End time

Actualizado 2019-06-22 10:40:09 UTC

Hi Junglim,

If you enable the Smart Zone feature, Netro will water your zones automatically. The "Start Time" and "End Time" on the scheduling page is for customizing start time and end time of smart watering but will not completely ensure to restrict smart watering to a certain period. For example, Netro will still water outside the assigned time if Netro believes the watering duration set by users is not enough.

To restrict the smart watering to a certain time period, please go to Settings->Restrictions to add a restriction for your zones.

Thanks,

Netro Support

Hi Robert,

If the boost mode is not watering enough, you can choose the "customized" mode. You can adjusting  "low" and "high" soil moisture to increase the watering frequency, and  the "flow rate" to make Netro water longer each day. For example, low as 65%, high as 100% and set flow rate to 0.4 or even smaller.

Keeps watering after heavy rains!

Logo
Netro Support
Actualizado 2019-06-14 05:56:18 UTC

Hi Dan,

As rainfall amount varies significantly even in a small area, the weather data could be not accurate enough for your place. Netro still watered your zone after heavy rain, this might because the weather forecast said there was going to be a small rain but it turns out to be a big one. The soil moisture level will not increase a lot after small rain so Netro still watered your zones to keep the soil mosute level up. You can go to the Home page, tap the moisture level(%)  in a circle in the zone area to check the soil moisture level of your zone by week/month.

Of course, all weather forecast could be wrong. Netro tries the best to provide accurate watering schedule even with incorrect forecast. First, we periodically update the weather data, once the weather data is changed, we update the un-executed schedules ASAP. Second, we re-check the weather data for the past, update our model, and adjust following schedules accordingly. For example, Netro may not water today due to large rainfall from forecast data. The next day, Netro re-check the weather data, if no rainfall found and your soil is dry enough, Netro will water accordingly.

Hi Alfonso,

We only support Google Home voice control in English. Please use your google assistant app to find "Netro Sprite", either by directly typing "talk to Netro Sprite" or searching through the google assistant explorer. Then tap the "link" button, and you will be redirected to the account login page. After using your Netro account to be successfully linked, you will be able to use google home to work with Netro. You can talk to your Google home like: "Hey google, ask Netro Sprite to water zone two for 5 minutes." or "Hey google, ask Netro Sprite to stop watering." The Netro Sprite should start/stop watering accordingly. Currently these are the only two commands that we support. We will add more in future, for example, running a specific program.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Actualizado 2019-06-10 05:33:25 UTC

Hi Matty,

Maybe some pages are 24 hours. Could you let us know the pages which is  24 hours? Our default watering is morning unless there's not enough time for watering in the morning. Watering changed to PM watering is not caused by weather provider. It does not matter which weather to choose.

It is possible that it is in the afternoon when you change the watering, so the watering activities can only be scheduled in the afternoon. Watering should be in the morning in your following watering schedules.

How the smart watering is scheduled?

Logo
Netro Support
Actualizado 2019-05-31 01:32:49 UTC

Hi Shane,

Some zones are watered multiple times a day, you probably selected clay, clay loam or loam as the soil type which accepts water slowly, often as little as 1/4 inch per hour and that is why we break the watering into many pieces to avoid water runoff.

Netro's algorithm is based on expert gardening knowledge, one of which is to avoid watering equally everyday and instead to water less frequently but deeply. Netro waters your garden only when the soil is dry enough in order to draw more oxygen into the roots, leading to a lusher landscape. By default, we allow the moisture level to deplete to a low level (recommended by EPA) before next watering and that is why you might see longer watering duration than the original settings on your old controller.

Constant Blinking

Logo
Netro Support
Actualizado 2019-05-31 01:27:46 UTC

Hi Seth,

The Sprite unit will blink quickly whenever it is trying to (re)connect to a WiFi network. This happens when you first set up your unit, or whenever it loses its connection. If you have not changed your home WiFi, try to reboot the Sprite (unplug and replug the power) and the connection might be restored. It may also blink slowly when it is in host mode. This happens when you first plug in your Sprite or reset it, and indicates that it needs to go through the setup steps to connect to a home WiFi network.

Thanks,

Netro Support
