Didn’t water. Exclamation point inside of triangle

Controller didn’t turn on sprinklers at 0400hrs today.  Instead schedule shows yellow triangle with exclamation symbol, but gives no breakdown on why system didn’t turn on water.  If controller shows exclamation, it would be nice if it showed an actual description of problem/event.

Centralina non chiude valvola

Buonasera a tutti, 

Da questa mattina la centralina non mi chiude più la valvola della linea 1 dell’impianto... ho provato a fare reset ma niente continua con irrigazione!! 

Sono riuscito a sospendere irrigazione reimpostando da capo la centralina ma il problema e sulla linea 1 che non a trova più anche quando metto programma irrigazione.

Programming square footage

Hello - I just installed the Netro pixie and whisperer to to water our golden goddess bamboos in planters. We have a drip irrigation system and I’m not sure what to put in the “sq ft” parameter in the Netro app. We have a total of 7 planters that are all hooked to the same hose /drip irrigation hose. Each planter is 41″ x 12″ x 18″. What should I list as the sq feet? Is it just one planter or all 7?

Also - does the whisperer talk to the pixie to tell it how often it should water and automatically water as such? Is there anything I need to do to turn on that function? I live in Los Angeles and our bamboos are up on our deck where it gets extremely hot/dry.

User Guide - Manual watering with your Pixie timer

The Pixie timer is designed for automatic watering. However, occasionally you may still need to turn on/off the water manually. Before explaining manual watering from the app, it would be helpful to understand how the Pixie communicates with the Netro cloud server.


By default, your Pixie turns on its WiFi module once every hour to sync up with the server. The sync-up usually takes less than one minute. For the next 59 minutes the timer will be sleeping and disconnected from the WiFi until the next sync. When the timer is sleeping, it is unaware of the schedule changes, including the manual watering.


Therefore, when you start a manual run, the timer is most likely in sleep mode. It will have to wait until the next sync-up to start the watering. The waiting time will be less than 60 minutes. Take the following screenshot for example:



The current time is 5:24AM and the next sync is scheduled at 6:17AM. Therefore the waiting time is going to be 53 minutes. After you press the Start button, you can go to the Schedule page and the manual run at  6:17AM will appear on your calendar.

Rain Delay

Mine is set up with the minimum rain but the program still goes off no matter what. 

My B-hyve sends me a “rain delay” message.

La salida eléctrica es a 24v?. Podría conectarlo a la electroválvula Rain Bird?. SI quisiera controlar otros dispositivos como bombillas de 12/24 V AC, en distintas zona Puedo hacer? Puedo hacerlo de manera manual o programando por horas, sin interferir en el riesgo?

Is a full time wifi connection required for watering? Or any other unattended modes of failure?

If wifi is disrupted will the controller continue to water acording to the most recently programmed schedules?


More generally are there any modes of failure (other than loss of power to the house) where the controller can unexpectedly halt watering?  It would be unacceptable to have one's garden die from lack of water if the system fails when one is away from home for a number of days.

Due to rapid increase of active devices connected to the Netro cloud server, we are going to upgrade our server on May 16th Saturday night from 8:30PM to 9:00PM (Pacific Time). During that time frame, all cloud service will be temporarily unavailable but your watering schedules will run normally. If you have a smart watering controller, the light on the unit will blink fast.

Is it possible set the app whit a unit as metric or imperial or...Mars?!? It is very boring that some parameters are in metric an other in sqft x ex.

Whisper wifi strength?

Is there a way to see the wifi strength from the sensor.   From the phone I have good strength but from as far as the sensor it comes and goes for reporting.   Thanks!
